Structural Engineer: Joe Farruggia. [GFGR], Anderson Inge [Anderson Inge Engineer + Architect]
Environmental Engineer: Paul Stoller [Atelier Ten]
Location: Greensboro, Alabama.  
 
- The team of 4 was also the construction crew for this project. 
- Built details, mockups, electrical installations, plumbing, concrete pouring, carpentry and welding. 
- Experience in: research, program and concept development, schematic design, design development, budget, construction documents and construction management.
- Spokesperson during project reviews and meetings with city officials. 
- Single handedly raised $100,000 in materials and cash donations. 
 
The design-build process was slow and evolved over a two year period. The following images are a summary of this process, from research to design and construction.

Design Considerations:
Smooth concrete floors are easy to clean, last forever and have minimal joints to harbour disease, helping keep animals healthier.
Yes. Dogs can climb chainlink fence. :) Stainless steel bars mean they will never have to be painted or replaced. Durable materials = lower maintenance costs for the Animal Shelter, minimizing upkeep and extending the life of the building.
